TRADEMARKS

A trademark can be a word, phrase, symbol, or design that is capable of identifying and distinguishing the source of the goods or services. When using the marks in publications that will be distributed only in the United States, include the appropriate ™ symbol on first use. The absence of a product or service name or logo from this list does not constitute a waiver of our trademark or other intellectual property rights concerning that name or logo.

The CIE word mark is a trademark of 2-1-1 San Diego.

COPYRIGHTS

A copyright is a creative expression fixed in a tangible medium. Copyrights are automatic rights that are granted the instant the creative work of expression becomes fixed in the appropriate medium.

2-1-1 San Diego has already obtained automatic copyrights on any software related to the CIE platform.

TRADE SECRETS
A trade secret:
  • is information that has either actual or potential independent economic value by virtue of not being generally known,
  • has value to others who cannot legitimately obtain the information, and
  • is subject to reasonable efforts to maintain its secrecy.
    • 2-1-1 San Diego has a valid trade secret in the CIE platform and has taken appropriate steps towards maintaining the secret.
