Rox Suarez (they, them), is Director of Participatory Design and Partner Experience. They graduated from UCSD with a Bachelors in Biological Anthropology and a minor in Science and Technology Studies. While at UCSD, Rox grew passionate about the intersection of health and societal issues and the need for systems change. They started their career at 211 San Diego assisting clients with CalFresh applications, and soon after began supporting the organization as a training specialist. Since 2018, Rox and their team has supported the onboarding of new CIE partners. Today, Rox works with other leaders to develop new workflows, pilot new program designs and improve the user experience for both providers and clients within a community care model.

Outside of their day job, Rox continues to seek other learning opportunities. They practice Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and are learning American Sign language (ASL).
