As the Chief Technology Officer for 211 San Diego, Peter Battistel is charged with building and maintaining an innovative and collaborative technology department. With more than 15 years of experience in IT and operations management under his belt, Peter anchors a 211 San Diego executive team that is always willing to make changes to its technology infrastructure to gain efficiencies. Formerly the Senior Vice President and Director of Operations & Technology, at MBank in Gresham, Oregon, Peter has an excellent track record in streamlining IT functionality, managing large projects, and reducing overall technology costs.

Peter is responsible for the technology that runs San Diego’s Community Information Exchange and all technology within the organization. Peter is a dynamic and imaginative technology leader with extensive accomplishments in constructing an IT infrastructure that meets 211’s around the clock service and business needs as well as possessing experience in delivering high-value technology solutions that align to 211’s strategic objectives.

Peter was honored as the 2017 Top Tech Executive for San Diego in the Nonprofit Small category. He graduated with honors from the University of Oregon.
