No! We redesigned the event as a virtual experience. The virtual event will take place August 12-14, 2020. After you register, you will need to download the Whova conference app so you can access all the fun content and virtual activities we have planned! The download link for Whova will be posted on our website in the coming weeks.
Registration for the 2020 Virtual CIE Summit is now closed. Please check back for information about registering for CIE Summit 2021.
No! If you registered for the CIE Summit at full price ($695), there is no need to re-register. Individuals who have registered at the full price have been upgraded to Premium Registration at no additional cost.
As a Premium Registrant, you now have access to the following:
A virtual demo of San Diego’s CIE system
Priority registration for breakout sessions
Invitation to a special CIE Summit pre-session
Opportunity to participate in small group discussions with speakers and leaders in the field
Premium Registrants will also receive a CIE Ambassador Membership for one year which includes the following benefits:
Broad recognition as a CIE Ambassador on our website and in our communications materials
Priority registration and discounted rates for CIE Summit 2021
Access to quarterly CIE Networking activities and new resources

If you will not be able to participate in the virtual conference, you may request a full refund by no later than July 31, 2020.
The Summit’s robust agenda and the content will remain as outlined based on speaker availability. Only slight modifications will be made to the planned event including updated content relating to communities’ response to COVID-19 and leveraging CIEs.
Yes! If you were scheduled to speak at the CIE Summit, we have a lot of fun options for you to virtually interact with participants and share your slides, articles, and other resources that might be useful. All session materials will be available through the Whova app.
Yes! We are planning to host CIE Summit in 2021. Stay tuned for more details.
